Real change doesn't happen in ten days. Change happens in cycles, in seasons, and in the slow accumulation of little choices that eventually add up to something big enough to see.

During my two decades working as an environmentalist I started to pivot towards people. I began running leadership programs, and became a coach and psychedelics facilitator to support messy human transitions and layers of healing. In both my environmental work and people work, I kept returning to the same truth: transformation takes time, happens in cycles, and needs constant tending.

I created Yearbook of You using my experience building leadership programs, and based on the approach I used to learn tarot, which has been a companion for my personal growth and reflection for the last decade.

This is a 52-week journey through the Minor Arcana of the tarot. It has two goals: deepen your relationship with yourself, and learn these 40 cards in your deck of choice through embodiment rather than memorization. One card. One practice. One week at a time.

This is also a beta. The first version of a companion journal I really hope to publish in 2028. Your experience as a participant will directly shape that book. You're not just subscribing to a program. You're helping build something that will exist beyond this year, and I want to be transparent about that from the start.

How It Works

This isn't something you can do passively from a couch while half-paying attention to your phone. This is embodied work. Each week includes one card from the Minor Arcana (Ace through Ten in all four suits), one practice that's sometimes a ritual and sometimes a reflection exercise but always something you actually do, and one invitation to move, speak, create, or tend to yourself in a specific way.

The practices are physical and sensory. You'll light candles. Plant seeds. Speak things out loud. Go outside. Touch earth and water. The doing is the point. That's where change and learning actually happens.

Once you subscribe, the program also arrives in your inbox automatically: one email a week, in order, starting the day you sign up rather than a fixed calendar date. If you sign up in July, your Week 1 lands right away and your year runs July to July. If a friend signs up in January, theirs runs January to January. Everyone's on their own clock. The emails are reminders, not deadlines, nothing locks or expires, and every post stays live on the site if you want to move faster or slower than the weekly rhythm.

The 52-Week Structure

The program follows ten "constellations," stages in a cycle from planting to harvest:

  • PLANT (Weeks 1-4: The Aces): Beginning with what you already have

  • CHOOSE (Weeks 6-9: The Twos): Choosing wholeness before you leap

  • WEAVE (Weeks 10-13: The Threes): Connecting to build what you can’t build alone

  • SHELTER (Weeks 14-17: The Fours): Resting as part of the work

  • STRUGGLE (Weeks 19-22: The Fives): Facing fear so it doesn’t run the show

  • OPEN (Weeks 25-28: The Sixes): Opening to perspective, memory, and exchange

  • TEND (Weeks 31-34: The Sevens): Sharpening the tools you already have

  • TRANSFORM (Weeks 37-40: The Eights): Stepping into what the work built

  • RIPEN (Weeks 43-46: The Nines): Holding the tension of almost

  • HARVEST (Weeks 48-51: The Tens): Gathering what grew, and what didn’t

Integration weeks are built in after most constellations (Weeks 5, 18, 23, 29, 35, 41, and 52), giving you space to pause, catch your breath, and reflect before moving forward. Five Free Return weeks (Weeks 24, 30, 36, 42, and 47) invite you to revisit any card from the constellation you just completed, noticing patterns in what calls you back.

The final week (52) is your Anniversary: a chance to look back on your full year and prepare for the next one, right as your new personal year begins.

The Four Suits

Each constellation moves through all four tarot suits:

Cups. Your emotions, your heart, your capacity to love yourself. Wands. Your energy, your body, your creative fire. Swords. Your mind, your thoughts, your stories. Pentacles. Your resources, your roots, your connection to the material world.

The ordering of the suits in each constellation is deliberate. In the first half of the experience, every constellation begins with Cups. Heart first. Everything else flows from what you feel. In the second half, the order shifts. You begin by learning to lead with your heart, and then learn to lead with other parts of being.

Why Tarot? Why the Minor Arcana?

I wanted to build an introspection program around a universal framework that was already accessible to people. I wanted a framework that captured the actual conditions of being human, including loss, struggle, relationship, and joy, without pretending any of us ever finish the work and get to some final state.

Tarot offered that: a time-tested, widely-available presentation of a life in cycles. Decks are available everywhere, in hundreds of flavors.

The 78 cards of the tarot deck are split between the Major Arcana (22 cards tracking big archetypal themes like Death, The Tower, The Fool) and the Minor Arcana (56 cards tracking the texture of daily life). Most people's understanding of tarot stops at the Majors because they're dramatic and easier to remember. The Minors get skipped as less important and more difficult to differentiate. But, the Minors are where the actual work of living happens.

The minors are the little moments that add up to change big enough to see. They represent concepts like the choice between two good options, rest and celebration you need before you can keep going, the necessary struggles, and the harvest from seeds you planted months ago and forgot about.

This program uses only the Minor Arcana: the 40 numbered cards from Ace through Ten in each suit. The Court Cards are beautiful, but they're not part of this exploration.

By the end of this year, you'll know these 40 cards in a new way. I hope you'll be able to pull a card, look at the image, and have your own understanding of what it's reflecting back to you about where you are in that moment. Tarot becomes a little less mystical, and you build a relationship with a deck so that it becomes the language for your own experience.

This program is NOT a tarot guide or a crash course in tarot meanings. I recommend Biddy Tarot and Tarot for the Wild Soul if you're looking for that type of learning.

The card interpretations in this program are my own, but based on study across a number of tarot books and decks. My interpretations are designed to serve the program's goals of self-knowledge and embodied practice, not to replace traditional tarot meanings. If you already know tarot, you'll notice I read some cards differently than you've learned. That's intentional. You're welcome to hold both interpretations. In fact, that's part of building your own relationship with the deck.

What's Included

This is a year-long journey inspired by the cycles of the Minor Arcana.

The full 52-week curriculum at Yearbookofyou.com. All ten constellations are available now. The first constellation (PLANT, Weeks 1-5) is available for free. You can access the remaining nine constellations as soon as you subscribe. Once you subscribe, your personal 52-week sequence begins immediately from whatever day you sign up, not a fixed calendar date, and every post stays live on the site so you're never locked out of reading ahead.

A companion journal PDF. This is the centerpiece of your daily practice. It's designed with elemental prompt variations: Cups weeks use emotional and relational prompts, Wands weeks use action and creative prompts, Swords weeks use mental clarity prompts, and Pentacles weeks ground you in the physical and material. The companion journal includes an overview table to keep you on track with the prompts through your year, one page for each week, plus integration reflections and year-end completion prompts.

Monthly connection calls. Live group calls on the third Wednesday of each month, 5:30pm Pacific, from September 2026 through September 2027. These are themed discussions, not constellation-specific, so they work no matter where you are in your journey. Topics rotate through things like beginnings and intention, working with resistance, navigating the harvest, and sitting with what's unfinished. These sessions will be recorded for those who can't attend live.

Subscriber community. Comments on every post, including the free PLANT weeks, are reserved for paid subscribers, so it's a space to share experiences, ask questions, and connect with others taking part in the same practice, not a public comment section.

Beta tester acknowledgment. Your name in the 2028 book (if you want it to be!). Your feedback during this pilot directly shapes the published version.

What Makes This Different

This isn't about manifestation or toxic positivity. This program doesn't assume an outcome or end point for change. There's space here for difficulty, grief, and messiness alongside growth and joy.

This program honors cycles. It follows the agricultural metaphor from plant to harvest. It's designed for anniversary-to-anniversary use, your personal year rather than a calendar year. And it's designed to be repeated in future years because you never stop changing or learning.

This is about learning the Minor Arcana deeply. The Minor Arcana are the cards most people find harder to learn than the dramatic Major Arcana, but they're just as insightful. By the end of this year, you'll know these 40 cards more intimately, and develop a relationship with your tarot deck.

This work respects your autonomy. You set the pace. Some weeks might take you ten days. Some might take twenty minutes. The integration weeks are built in, but you can add more whenever you need them. Miss a week? Pick up where you left off. The only rule is: keep coming back.

This is a beta. The curriculum is complete but it will be refined based on your experience. Some rituals may need tweaking. The formatting is functional, not final book quality. I'm learning alongside you about what works best. Your patience and input are essential to creating the best possible book. You're not just buying a product. You're helping create it. That's why the price is lower and why your feedback matters so much.

When to Start

Yearbook of You is designed as an anniversary-to-anniversary experience. I invite you to start today, or at another threshold that’s important to you.  I plan to start on my birthday, my personal new year, and move through the full 52 weeks ending the day before my next one. That's the rhythm the 2028 book will follow, and that's how I'd recommend experiencing it.

The entire program is available to start now.  The first constellation (PLANT) is free. You can sign up to access the full program and start your personalized weekly emails whenever you're ready.

If you're entering during difficulty: the program includes guidance on where to begin if you're in the middle of grief, loss, or contraction. You don't have to start with Week 1. You can start where you actually are.

What I Hope For You

You're about to spend a year with yourself.

A year from now, I hope you've fallen even more in love with you. Not because you forced it or because you followed the steps perfectly, but because you showed up and witnessed your heart, your energy, your mind, your material world.

I know that if you give yourself the gift of time, attention, and care, you'll enter your next year with more compassion and confidence. You'll build that for yourself, and I hope that will overflow to others.
