GETTING STARTED

When should I start?

The program is designed around your birthday as a natural starting point, your personal new year. However, you can start whenever you want and treat that day as your beginning. What matters is completing a full cycle, 52 weeks from whenever you begin.

What if I miss weeks or fall behind?

You can't fall behind. That's not how this works.

Life will interrupt. You'll miss weeks. You'll avoid a prompt because it makes you uncomfortable. All of this is normal.

The only rule: keep coming back. Pick up where you stopped. If a week needs two weeks, take two. If you need to skip a card and come back to it later (or never), that's okay too.

This experience is yours. You set the terms.

Will I keep getting emails if I fall behind?

Yes. The weekly emails keep arriving on their own rhythm, they're not waiting for you to catch up. But that's all they are: reminders, not deadlines. Nothing locks or expires. If you're three weeks behind, the newest email is just a nudge that something's there when you're ready, not a sign you missed your window. Open it now, open it in a month, or skip straight to the archive and start wherever you left off.

Can I repeat this program in future years?

Yes. That's the design.

You never stop changing. The intention is that you do this practice multiple times across your life, starting at birthdays or significant transition points, each year revealing something different because you're different.

Where do I start if I'm in the middle of grief, loss, or difficulty?

The program includes guidance on alternative entry points. If you're in a season of struggle, you don't have to start with Week 1 (PLANT). You can start with:

Week 19 (STRUGGLE, the Fives) to meet yourself where you actually are

Week 37 (TRANSFORM, the Eights) if you're in a major threshold or transition

Week 48 (HARVEST, the Tens) if you're completing something and want to capture what you accomplished before moving on to what’s next

After finishing the remaining weeks, you can circle back to the beginning if you want the full experience.

THE CONTENT & PRACTICE

Do I need a tarot deck?

No. The prompts work without pulling cards.

That said, doing the program with a deck that resonates with you deeply enriches the practice. Part of learning tarot is growing intensely familiar with a specific deck. Looking at the card images, noticing what you see and feel, returning to the same images again and again. The companion journal includes deck recommendations in different styles.

If you don't have a deck, you can find card images online or work purely with the written prompts.

Do I need tarot experience or knowledge?

No. The program teaches you the Minor Arcana through lived experience, not through memorizing traditional meanings.

You don't need to know what the Seven of Pentacles "means" in a tarot guidebook. This program invites you to do the practice for that week and notice what it reveals about your life.

By the end of the year, you'll know these 40 cards more intimately because you embodied them.

Is this religious or spiritual?

The program is spiritually informed but not tied to any specific tradition.

Tarot originated in European card games and has been used in divination and spiritual practice across many cultures. This program treats tarot as a psychological and symbolic framework, a mirror for self-reflection rather than a religious doctrine.

You can bring whatever spiritual or non-spiritual lens you want. The practices work regardless.

What tarot tradition is the program based in?

The program is designed to correspond with iconography in Rider-Waite-Smith decks.

What tarot cards does the program feature?

The program features the 40 numbered Minor Arcana cards, ace through ten of cups, wands, swords, and pentacles. The program does not feature the Major Arcana or court cards.

What if I don't like journaling?

Most weeks offer multiple ways to process: writing in a journal, recording voice memos, moving your body and noticing what comes up, creating something visual, or just sitting with the prompt and thinking.

Journaling is one option, not the only option. Use whatever works for your body and brain.

How long does each week take?

It varies by week and by you.

Some weeks you might spend 20 minutes on a simple ritual. Other weeks you might sit with a prompt for days. The practices are designed to be doable within an hour, but you decide how deep to go.

Integration weeks are lighter and might take even less time.

Can I adapt the rituals to fit my life?

Yes. Please do.

Every practice includes accessibility alternatives. If a ritual asks you to go outside but you can't, do it at a window. If it asks for candles but you don't have fire access, use a lamp. If it asks for soil but you're in an apartment, use a potted plant.

The spirit of the practice matters more than following instructions exactly.

Is this therapy?

No. This is a structured self-reflection program, not therapy.

If you're working with a therapist, this program can complement that work. If you need clinical mental health support, please seek that from a licensed professional.

This program creates space for you to witness yourself, tend to yourself, and track patterns across a year. It's not a substitute for professional care.

Do you address reversed cards?

No. This program works with upright interpretations only. If you pull reversed cards in your own practice, you're welcome to explore what that adds. But the weekly content and companion journal are designed around upright readings. This keeps the focus on the program's interpretive lens without adding complexity that could distract from the embodied practice.

PRICING & ACCESS

What does $70 one time purchase get me?

Everything. All 52 weeks of curriculum at Yearbookofyou.com. Access to comments and conversation on each week’s activities from other subscribers. The companion journal PDF with space to reflect on each week’s activities and connect the work back to your own tarot deck. Monthly themed connection calls from September 2026 through September 2027 (recorded if you can't attend live). Beta tester acknowledgment in the 2028 book (if you want it).

One quick note: this is a single payment, not a recurring subscription. No auto-renewal, nothing to remember to cancel.

Is there a free option?

Yes. The full PLANT constellation (Weeks 1-5) is free forever. Five weeks of content, no commitment beyond your email address. Move through the first constellation and you'll know if this approach is for you.

When do I get the companion journal?

The companion journal PDF is available immediately upon subscribing. It covers all 52 weeks plus integration reflections and year-end prompts, so you have everything you need from day one.

Do I get the companion journal if I'm doing the free PLANT weeks?

Not yet. The companion journal PDF is included when you subscribe. The free PLANT constellation works great with a regular notebook or nothing but the prompts themselves. Once you subscribe, the journal is yours immediately, including pages for the PLANT weeks you already completed.

I started with the free PLANT weeks. What happens if I subscribe later?

You pay the same $70 whenever you're ready. Nothing about starting free costs you anything or complicates the upgrade, you'll get instant access to the remaining nine constellations and the full companion journal, PLANT included.

What's your refund policy?

Within 30 days of purchase: full refund, no questions asked. If this isn't for you, I want you to get your money back.

I'm confident this program delivers what it promises. If it doesn't work for you in the first month, just let me know.

How do I access the content?

Everything lives at Yearbookofyou.com. The first constellation (PLANT, five weeks of content) is always free. The remaining constellations (47 weeks of content) are accessible as soon as you subscribe. You move through them at your own pace, but you’ll get weekly email nudges to remind you to continue through the exercises.

All content remains accessible indefinitely, so you can always go back to earlier weeks.

COMMUNITY

Are the monthly connection calls required?

No. They're optional.

The calls are a space to share reflections, ask questions, and connect with others spending the year with this program. They're themed discussions (not constellation-specific) so they work no matter where you are in your 52 weeks. If you can't attend live, recordings will be available.

You can do this entire program solo and never join a call. The calls are there if you want community, not because they're mandatory.

What if I can't attend the monthly calls live?

Every call is recorded and available to subscribers within 24 hours. Watch when it works for you.

Who can see my comments?

Comments are visible to paid subscribers only, on every post, including the free PLANT weeks. Anyone can read PLANT for free, but the comment threads are part of what you get when you subscribe.

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS

What platform is this on?

The program is available at YearbookofYou.com, but it is built through the beehiiv platform. All content, the companion journal, and comments on individual posts are hosted there.

The monthly calls will be hosted on Zoom.

You'll need a one-time purchase of Yearbook of You in order to access the full program content beyond the free PLANT constellation.

Do I need to download an app?

No. The entire program is available at YearbookofYou.com. You can access everything from your browser.

How do the weekly emails work?

Once you subscribe, the program arrives in your inbox automatically, one email per week, in order. You don't need to log into anything or remember which week you're on. The email is the program.

Your schedule starts the day you subscribe, not on a fixed calendar date. If you sign up in July, your Week 1 lands right away and your Week 52 lands next July. If a friend signs up in January, their year runs January to January. Everyone's on their own clock.

If you read every email the week it lands, great. If a few pile up in your inbox, that's fine too, they'll be waiting whenever you're ready, and nothing about the automation changes what's already covered in "Will I keep getting emails if I fall behind?"

Can I print the weekly content?

Yes. All written content can be saved as PDFs or printed if you prefer physical copies.

What if I have technical issues accessing content?

Email [email protected] and I'll help troubleshoot.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Who is this for?

People who want to learn about themselves, and who are willing to spend a year paying attention.

People who are drawn to tarot for reflection, or who are curious about it and want a structured way to deepen personalized understanding.

People who want a container, not a curriculum. Something that holds them without telling them who to be.

This program is not for people who want quick fixes or transformation in 30 days, prefer purely intellectual work without embodied practices, expect the program to "heal" them or make them "whole," or need constant external motivation to engage.

Will this be offered again?

This beta version shapes the 2028 book. The program will remain open for enrollment for the foreseeable future. The web content and companion journal will eventually become a published book designed for birthday-to-birthday or anniversary-to-anniversary use without the online component.

Can I gift this program?

Yes. You can purchase and send the program to someone as a gift. The program is a great gift for someone’s birthday, the start of the new year, or to mark some other significant passage.
